Newsstand Vendor, Los Angeles, 1987

"I went out to do some night photography. I usually use my Leica for street work but this night I took my old workhorse my Nikon F3 on a tripod, no sneaking around for once. I set up near a busy newsstand on a busy corner of Melrose Avenue. At first people were curious and apprehensive, but after an hour they no longer noticed me. Once I started to feel invisible I was able to see the images take shape in front of me."
