"Prowling Hollywood Boulevard on my way to check out the crowd at Grauman's Chinese Theater I saw these three people on a bus stop bench. When the woman in the foreground leaned forward I quickly exposed one frame. Not until I looked through a loupe at my proof sheet did I notice the sign above their heads: Misfits."
